Well, anyway, a MAJOR event happened last Saturday (I'll get to it soon)
I had longed for the Breakfast Deluxe for oh so long and guess what? I finally ate it! I was actually supposed to have ate it with Mr. Babi, but... ... :D
After that lip-smacking meal, I prepared to go for Gravical '10- Rockclimbing competition organized by SMU. Heng Yi and Andy entered as Intermediate Males so I went in the hope of catching a glimpse of them competing. Alas! Heng Yi HAD ALREADY COMPLETED!!!!! and worse still, NO ONE TOOK HIS VIDEO nor his PICTURES!!
ARGH, JOEL was there all along and he missed out Heng Yi's pictures!!!
Lols, anyway, I got there just in time for Andy's last route. He hurt his right calf while trying to get past the bonus tile (if I remember correctly, it was a huge blue volume). and Heng Yi injured his right knee cap :c Both of them were trying to act "man", especially with Andy, he was saying, "Nah, let the blood stay, it looks more "man" this way."
Gosh, you get speechless talking to guys like that. But it is they, who are your biggest source of entertainment, with all their male chauvinistic point of view. BOO!
After the competition, Joel told us of an old friend he was meeting at Plaza Singapura, so off we went, with his room mate -Leo (from China), Andy (Philipines), Heng Yi (some weird country, wahaha) and me (Singapore)! (What an international bunch of us). I heard that the old friend was a rather knowledgeable teacher whose name was Kenneth, or so I heard.
Joel chose Swensens'; we sat and waited for the teacher who was late (for an hour I guess?). When he finally came, Joel called him over to our table and within that few seconds, that was the most horrific moment of my beautiful Saturday afternoon- for I realized that man was far too familiar a figure to forget.
He. Was. My secondary school teacher - Mr. Kelvin Yew. I immediately turned to Joel: "Isn't he Kelvin?!" Too coincidental.
For now, it is hard to explain my usage of the term "horrific" as seen above.
Nonetheless, he remembered me too.
Because we had met before, lunch was much more entertaining, reminiscing the past and of course our unforgettable nemesis. Despite that, I still felt unbelievable that the world was so small. What was worse was when he turned to Heng Yi and asked:" Are you ..." My heart almost jumped out. I mean how are you supposed to answer your teacher a question like that? Heng Yi replied almost instantaneously to my pleasant dismay, haha, with the answer Yes. Luckily Kelvin wasn't opposed to it or anyhow.
He's getting married, so I guess wedding bells are ringing! I'm so glad for him. He's a great guy.
After the meal, we set off to Cathay Cineleisure to watch Alice in Wonderland. It was simply.. alright. Lols, Heng Yi kept commenting on the white and red queen. I think he might be that pig that tumbles over when I need a warm cushion in the future. "PIG PLEASE!" Joking, joking!
"Oink!"
