Reading through my guides' blog, I felt really nostalgic. Missing all those days when things were fun. Marching through those "barked" commands of the drill mistresses; doing outdoor cooking; blowing on the flames beneath the make-shift stove we made on those bricks; having camps, not forgetting those solo night walks with the scouts. Those great times. I realized those little girls whom I taught the drills, had grown up. New little girls full of passion for guides are welcomed into the family. Hopefully, the management is way better than my batch, under YoYo and my command. One of my regret, was the improper management of the guides of our batch. The bad blood between us kind of caused a split in the two companies. The greatest harm, inflicted not only on me, but the girls too. Sorry! But nonetheless, I still loved my guiding days!! I want to be a guide again! Tie pony tails! Wear my barret! Wear and polish my black boots! Don on my uniform which I happen to be VERY proud of! Buckle my belt and flash offf the shiny silver "PANDU PUTERI" = girl guides in malay. Show off the year's THINKING DAY BADGE! Sew on my proficiency badges on my sleeves! Peek on my rank at the corner of my eyes, hehe! I LOVE being a GIRL GUIDE!
This is the guiding light of mine, I'm gona let it shine! x3
Let it shine x2
all the time!
Signing off,
your CL, Sue Yee of the 2006 batch.
